Saskatoon police are making a public plea to help find Phillip Noonan who was reported missing Sunday morning.

Saskatoon police have ended the search for an 88-year-old man reported missing Sunday.

Police had reports that Phillip Noonan had been spotted around the Circle Drive bridge.

The 88-year-old, who was suffering from the onset of dementia, reportedly enjoyed walking in the Sutherland area of the city.

Noonan was found dead Monday afternoon, according to a police media release.

Passersby told 650 CKOM they saw what looked like police recovering a body in a field just north of 108th Street and west of Circle Drive.

Police thanked the public and members of the Saskatoon and Corman Park search-and-rescue teams for their efforts trying to find him.
